Schmooooze!

I’ve got it!

No matter what I’ve said about The Admirer, I think it will work!  It’s going to have its ups and downs, but we do have the ability to talk - you faithful blog readers see my side of things – mainly the shit .. but none of us generally write when we are happy, it’s all rants and moans that bug us!  The Admirer and I have had some seriously good times and hopefully there are more to come.

Having written various blogs on how “I’ve felt about things” and reading the very generous and frank comments, I have sat and thought long and hard about things …

1. This is my side of the story
2. I’ve been “in theory” on my own for the last 10 years and have had to make my own entertainments and been places and to functions on my own and basically been self-sufficient – which makes it very hard to accept the attentions of The Admirer!

I’ve had various conversations with people who know me personally and they show that I am happier that I have been for a long while!  My world is not an easy place to be, and I am seriously scared that I am “putting all my eggs in one basket” .. but .. hell sometimes you’ve gotta go with the flow and take the risk!

Yesterday I had a lovely meal with Dan (I would link, but he’s no longer blogging ) but I had to sort of cut it short as I was “supposed” to pick The Admirer up from a Pro-Am around 8.30 pm .. I got “home” (having had a flurry of texts earlier) and at around 9.00 I eventually I caved in and text The Admirer as “to what the eff was going on” .. if he wanted me to drive, I couldn’t have a drink - so let me know – “are you cabbing it or am I picking you up?” 

The Admirer wanted me to pick him up and “meet the people .. but NO PRESSURE” !!?  I got to the golf club at 10.00 - to say that The Admirer was sweet is an under-statement .. there were about 15 people left .. all of them mightily pissed!  I schmoooozed .. it’s something I do .. it’s something that working in a pub teaches you to do .. you might not be interested in someone, but you can find something to talk about and all you have to do is smile, and look them in the eyes .. it’s one of the things I do well .. I WAS A HIT .. he was impressed!  Haa!

Shame the M25 was shut at our exit and he needed to wee (didn’t we all??) and I had to stop and get him cigarettes and he wouldn’t go to bed .. despite the fact he had to be at work by 6.30 am .. and I was the one that got him up and plied him with coffee and made him rolls and .. WAS ABSOLUTELY EFFING FANTASTIC .. it’s early, I’m tired .. I’m going back to bed!

One thing I have found (and it’s not a consumer thing) .. but people, when pissed, tend to talk the truth .. he has .. watch this space!
