The following is a short excerpt from an MSN conversation of today .. it has been edited as some of it was probably far too boring for most ( ) …

Cat says: and think I might be getting The Admirer’s “man flu”

Cat says: although I think I’m bunged up because it’s muggy

Itchy says : well i’m not. medication induced stupor perhaps, hangover no

Cat says: not really hangover .. just de-hydrated and tired

Cat says: it’s all been a bit emotional here!

Itchy says: what’s been going on?

Itchy says: not really spoken to you alll week!

Cat says: potted version

Cat says: The Admirer has daughter (5)

Itchy says: yup

Cat says: mother is a coniving cow – already has son by another man (sperm donor?)

Cat says: The Admirer is supposed to have daughter for a week and wanted to take her to Cornwall

Cat says: mother said “too far” .. so holiday cancelled

Cat says: mother still thought The Admirer taking her for the week ..

Itchy says: I see a problem here

Cat says: confusion, and one little girl being hurt .. I can’t stand it

Cat says: but the mother is being (as far as I can see) controlling

Cat says: it’s always on her terms

Cat says: she is using E to get at The Admirer

Cat says: which isn’t right

Itchy says: nope

Cat says: although she can’t “see” it

Cat says: it just brought up issues in my life!

Itchy says: ?

Itchy says: not very fair of mother to say ‘you can have her but only do x or y’

Itchy says: makes it more like child minding

Cat says: exactly!

Cat says: The Admirer wanted her to have a termination (not sure how I feel on that one) but she insisted on having her .. now she is holding him to ransom

Cat says: she’s here now, we can’t change that

Itchy says: yup

Cat says: but she said “E was apprehensive” about going away

Cat says: his reply was “we would have dealt with it” ..

Itchy says: hmmmm

Cat says: but a kiddie given a beach, unlimited ice cream .. ???

Itchy says: lol

Cat says: = fairly odd if they don’t enjoy it!

Cat says: she also copied one of the e:mails to his parents

Itchy says: ?

Cat says: in her reply she used his words and then added her comment .. funnily she skipped that paragraph and didn’t comment on it!

Cat says: he got fed up with shouting at her and went the e:mail route

Cat says: actually I think she went first with the e:mails

Itchy says: just shout by email instead

Cat says: but at least you can think about wording etc …

Itchy says: true

Cat says: not the best medium I agree, because it is then there in perpetuity .. (right word?)

Itchy says: uhuh

Cat says: I can’t remember what W is like .. (he’s had so many .. lol)

Cat says: actually he’s really quite loyal .. just mis-guided

Cat says: we used to have a laugh when he came into the pub with “someone new” …

Cat says: didn’t mean to say it didn’t last, it wasn’t his sister .. we just had a giggle .. “there’s The Admirer with another one!”

Itchy says: remember, you are that other one now!

Cat says: nope, we are now going to the pub .. EVERYONE knows

Cat says: he wouldn’t do that to me .. I’m too well “liked” as it were

Cat says: The V is that last place I’d like to be shat on!

Itchy says: so what’s the plan now – he got her for the week and doing other things?

Cat says: nope .. told her he doesn’t want to see E for the “foreseeable future” because it “obviously upsets her” (and him)

Itchy says: :S

Cat says: exactly, and it will probably all change but if seeing her causes problems .. surely not seeing her will cause less .. she’s only 5!

Itchy says: just need to be mindful of what she is likely to want…..

Cat says: ?? “she” .. as in mum??

Itchy says: nooo

Itchy says: stepping away completely could be very bad for his relationnship with E long-term

Cat says: I know that, he knows that, but the mother is poisoning her anyway

Cat says: I’ve told him to write a letter or something for a birthday .. give it to a solicitor on the instruction that it is sent to her at a certain point (type of thing) explaining HIS position

Cat says: from my point of view I never wanted children (would have been a great mum) but far far too selfish ..

Cat says: I could never do what this woman has done and then hold someone to ransom over it

Cat says: her choice – therefore she should not make demands ..

Itchy says: child in middle

Itchy says: easy to forget in argument

Cat says: and to get pregnant in this day and age is IRRESPONSIBLE .. so she obviously had a “game plan”

Cat says: oooh I know and I keep telling The Admirer that there is a little girl who wants both a mummy and daddy

Cat says: it’s not HER fault

Cat says: so stop playing games and be adults!

Itchy says: letter thing could work against that in my view

Cat says: sorry … just forwarding a message “I haven’t read” .. eeek

Cat says: part of The Admirer’s reply to her yesterday ..

Cat says:

“I notice that you copied my parents on your mail; did you think that would make a difference to the outcome? I seem to remember you writing to my sister ……… that worked too! (it pushed my sister further away from E than she was already!) My parents are fully aware of the situation and always will be. Trying to stay calm, I would ask that you do not try and play my family against each other ……… there will be only one winner there!

Cat says: she completely missed commenting on that one!!

Itchy says: very strange

Cat says: it’s emotional blackmail!

Cat says: she’s trying to make him feel he is the bad person .. and as an outsider I can see it!

Cat says: my tag to forwarding the e:mail

“ok, so I’ve read it .. because to forward it I had to open it ..

My thoughts are .. she completely ignored the e:mailing/writing to family thing .. I think you hit a nerve there!

She’s trying to make you feel guilty and again using E as a pawn in the whole thing (already bringing up one child as a “single” parent – she knew what she was about!) .. it.is.emotional.blackmail!

You are not a bad person, if she is half the mother she thinks she is, she will explain to E (at some point) how things are/were/will be .. mebbe I’m just that type of person, but if I were in her situation, I’d be “as and when” – but hell that’s me!

I’m sorry, the reply has made me quite angry .. I can see it from an “outsider’s” point of view .. it’s manipulative .. do what you think is best hun

Cat says: this year I’ve ordered tickets, people have paid .. there was a list ..

Cat says: so this week I ordered 5 more (at a cost of £110) .. and sent a text to those people who hadn’t paid or thought they wanted one ..

Cat says: I got pathetic texts off him saying “if it’s easier I won’t go” .. errrrrrr I’ve ordered the effing tickets!!!

Cat says: then on Tuesday I got a “I hear you are going out with The Admirer” text ..

Cat says: and?????

Cat says: last night he ignored me completely (fine) .. and I sold his ticket to someone else .. hahaha
