If .. if ..?
Your partner said to a (reasonably) good friend of yours, but only a casual acquaintance to them .. “hello gorgeous” to them, when they used “hello you” when they greeted you .. would you get the hump???
There’s more, but I’m tired and just a little bit of a cross patch today!
PS: .. he never uses that expression on my other friends who he knows a lot better!

I would be a bit cheesed off and I would have a little word in his ear at some later stage. I’d say it (a bit nicely) “how come she gets the ‘hello gorgeous’ and I’m just the plain ‘hello you’? A jealous girlfriend can become hard to handle, y’know”
is this a pattern? Does he need reminding that loving someone is not a passive thing, it’s something you do.
This is the icing on the cake made up of a lot of other things I am sorry to say .. which is why I’ve not been able to ignore it!
Hmm. I say don’t ignore it, but definitely bring up the other things that have bothered you first.
Yes, I would. I would get a very big hump.
I am fairly sure I would be secretly seething if that happened to me.. especially if ‘icing on cake’ as you say.
I’d just like to point out at this moment, that you are all gorgeous.
That is all.
Carry on.
Yes. Yes. BIG YES. And you KNOW that if you behaved that way towards a guy, he would freak out.
There is no way I would put up with any boyfriend of MINE calling a friend of mine gorgeous. Prat. Slap him.
