Good day .. bad day ..

I stayed at Icklesis’s last night .. I was pooped .. and managed to spend most of the evening and night asleep – probably eased the pain of staying there in the first place!

I popped into the pub today to put some money into Alfie’s collection .. my best friend came in and totally ignored me!  Her loss, she now has no-one to look after her animals when she goes away.  She still owes me money and unless she pays me I shall take her to court .. she denies she does, but I have the receipts and bank records to prove it!

Those that knew Alfie had a “memorial” down at the brick pit.  The mums and dads were in the pub and it was very solemn.  I am a little pissed that my “landlady” said, “why don’t they get over it?” .. err he was a nice and popular lad and it was a very sad, shocking and tragic accident .. these people need to grieve.  He was 15.  Most of these kids have never known death, they needed to come together to show solidarity, compassion and prove that they could care – it wasn’t a “let’s get pissed” event ..

The boy that died ..

in C’bham was the son of a friend of mine. who’s daughter has just had an operation (which went wrong). to correct a spinal curvature (serious) … I’m in bits!

No-one told me till this evening because they didn’t want to upset me at work.

I’ve got a lodger .. but not this one!

I got myself a lodger on Tuesday night (after a fab day at work) and that was pretty much the icing on the cake.  (He’s “5″ days, arriving Monday evening AFTER work and leaving Friday morning when he goes to work and goes home Friday evening.   Unfortunately it’s not the guy I got an e:mail from today .. I think he would have been a bigger laugh .. He had emailed earlier and I replied with a “do you work for XXX?” and a “sorry it’s gone” ..

Yeah let me know if it goes pear shaped, tell the guy he is a lucky so and so as the travel lodge is an eye opener…

I am that desperate I will take the garden shed or do head to toe…he he he

Even better, tell him it was all a big mistake as I am a tremendous cook, worked as a male model for armani…love housework, enjoy knitting and always get the beers in…and I never lie or offer bribes…

 It’s nice to know that even if the guy I’ve got has a contract only lasts 3 months .. I can get another – easily!

I have a temp job!!!

I would update on the Book of Face .. but am steering clear for the present .. it’s with the BHF close to where I live .. it’s indefinite for the moment .. good rate of pay .. 8 am till 3.oo pm.  The girl they gave the job to (over me – how does that suck) made lots of mistakes and they’ve decided to take me instead.  They wanted speed writing (as shorthand is outdated) .. I said .. if I take my laptop, I can type faster than a very very fast thing .. they’ve okayed it!!!!!  The poor girl that had the job is going to do the week I was booked for next week in Wimbledon .. so things are looking up (for me certainly).

I have plenty of interest in my flat .. but told the hugest lie to my tenants yesterday when they asked for an extension of a month .. but then I’ve thought about it and decided the lie was for the best as – would I be able to get rid of them when they are out of contract??  I think the answer is no!  So the lie was that Landlady has someone ready to take my room immediately on vacating … Landlady hasn’t had huge amounts of interest in her room (sneaky grin to myself!)  4 of the 6 interested parties in my flat are 5 day renters … reeeeesult!

In other news, my 3 good friends are all alive and well (deeply shocked) in Japan ..

Please define a “migraine”!

I’m feeling a bit .. not!  I went to the docs last week and whilst she is happy(ish) with my mental state, blood test and scan results .. I tried to explain to her some of the symptoms I was suffering from – those which I am putting down to migraine.  SHE.DIDN’T.BELIEVE.ME.

Today I had the osteopath .. he’s of the opinion that I am correct .. and we had the discussion “what constitutes a migraine – and is it the same in everyone?” .. the answer we concluded was a big fat NO!  Everyone’s central nervous system is different.

We talked about my symptoms .. I note down each day what I physically feel like .. where the pain is, what I have eaten, done etc etc.  On Saturday (having stayed with Icklesis overnight) I shook violently – to the point that she was very worried and I could hardly walk down the stairs – and the drive home was a nightmare (however the concentration on driving took away some of the symptoms)!  I then got a monstrous headache when I got “home”.  I took some Migraleve (and the anti-sickness drugs the doc has given me are working so at least I wasn’t vomiting Veronica) .. and surprise surprise the headache and stuff went.  I said to the Osteo that I felt I had a “sciatic like” pain in my back .. he said it sounds like sacro… (and if I knew the term I would use it) .. but said that it would affect me physically .. we need to alleviate this. (He would .. at £45 an appointment .. lol) ..

I have a temp job next week, a probable tenant for my flat, THINGS are looking up .. I just need to keep the positive in my head ..
